Program Delivery Method: Gates College has received permission from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities to continue to deliver programs remotely until March 31, 2023. Depending upon your program, there may be a blend of both remote and onsite delivery. Should you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Gates College management.

Masking Policies: (As of March 21, 2022) Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, Gates College has diligently followed the public health guidelines surrounding social distancing, vaccination policies, and masking. As you are probably aware, as of Monday, March 21, 2022, the province of Ontario is lifting mask mandates for indoor venues and businesses.

At this time, Gates College will continue to follow provincial guidelines and allow staff and students to choose whether to use a mask or not while on campus with some exceptions: Students on practicum are required to follow the rules and regulations of their host employers. PSW students will be required to wear masks and present COVID vaccination documents for the foreseeable future as per Ontario health guidelines and host-facility policies.

Gates College will continue to monitor the situation and will revisit this policy should the situation require. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the campus management.

Vaccination Policy: (As of March 21, 2022) In compliance with the Ontario Ministry of Health, there are currently no mandatory vaccine mandates to attend class on campus. However, practicum hosts are entitled to demand mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for students to complete their practicum onsite. In particular, healthcare professions like Personal Support Workers still have mandatory masking and vaccination rules. Please be aware that Gates College cannot override or ignore vaccine external vaccine mandates. Should you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the campus management.
